Hofokam Limited
Background
Hofokam Ltd was incorporated in 2012 as a company limited by shares under registration number 59088. It is a non-deposit-taking microfinance institution founded by the Catholic Dioceses of Hoima, Fort Portal, and Kasese, and is regulated by the Ministry of Finance under the department of Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA).
The institution was originally established in 2003 following the merger of three diocesan microfinance programmes that had operated for over ten years. Hofokam is headquartered at Plot 21, Lugard Road, Fort Portal Tourism City.
